The Natural Doctors

Autoimmune diseases are on the rise and the sisters are extremely experienced in supporting patients to look at the root causes of their symptoms and how they can take back control of their own health.

Jess and Xandra discuss the crucial role that diet plays including which foods to prioritise and which to avoid. They highlight the importance of sleep and sunlight and how the impact of stress and trauma can not be overlooked.

The colostrum that Jess loves is Qurdea from SwissBioColostrum and they mention their amazing golden milk recipe, one of the very best ways to take turmeric.

This Ayurvedic recipe has been used for centuries and is rich in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory compounds and spices that have been shown to have benefit for joint pain, brain function, mood, blood sugar control, digestive problems and risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease.

Add the below spices to a small jar and shake to combine then use to make the golden milk regularly.

  • 4 tbsp ground turmeric
  • 2 tsp ground ginger (or add a 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger as you make up the golden milk)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper

To make the golden milk heat 1 cupful of coconut milk in a pan until hot but not boiling, add 1 heaped tsp of the mix above to a little hot water in a cup and make into a paste then gradually add the warm coconut milk stirring continually to combine. Add liquid stevia to taste (they love butterscotch flavour from Omica!)
